THE BIBLE EXPLAINS HOW YOU CAN HAVE SALVATION!
YOU CAN KNOW FOR SURE YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
1 John 5:12-13 “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not
have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of
God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life!...” Your eternal destiny will be
Heaven.
GOD IS HOLY. He is the Creator of all. He is perfect and totally righteous.
1 Peter 1:16 “Because it is written, ‘Be `holy, for I am holy.’” 1 Peter 1:16
MANKIND IS SINFUL
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
SIN MUST BE PUNISHED
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
JESUS CHRIST DIED TO TAKE YOUR PUNISHMENT
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that
while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom. 5:8 (also John 3:16)
SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT (You cannot work for it or earn it.)
Ephesians 2:8,9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not
of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
YOU MUST RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to
become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12
YOU CAN MAKE THAT DECISION NOW!
Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart
that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Revelation 3:20 Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your life] and knock, if anyone
ears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him...” Revelation 3:20
Jesus Christ will save you because you place your faith and dependence on Him to do so.
It is not a prayer that saves you. But this sample prayer can be an expression of your faith
you now want place in Jesus. And for that reason, it may be very helpful.
A Prayer:
“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sin. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for my sin. I believe He rose to life again from the dead. Jesus Christ, I now place my faith and dependence on You to save me from my sin. I open the door of my life to you. Please come in and be my Savior. Dear God, please forgive me of all my sin, give me the gift of eternal life, and make me Your child.
I ask this in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
